the final move: YOM mainnet infrastructure is officially live

Today marks the moment the last key piece of YOM's mainnet comes online. The settlement contract is live on Avalanche, governance is locked behind a multisig timelock, and the world's fastest edge network is officially switched on.

Today marks the definitive moment the last key piece of YOM’s mainnet infrastructure comes online. The board is set, the strategy is executed, and the final chess pieces are now in position.

We aren’t just launching a token today — we are flipping the switch on the fastest network in the world. By operating at the edge, we are unlocking the massive, dormant power of untapped GPU cycles available from millions of retail gaming rigs sitting in bedrooms and setups worldwide.

The master computer is officially switched on. Here is exactly what that means, how we built it, and where we go from here.

why the edge? (and why gaming first?)

Traditional centralized cloud data centers are hitting a physical wall. They are sluggish, capital-intensive, and physically too far away from the end user to deliver true real-time immersion. We built YOM to operate entirely at the edge, utilizing the high-end consumer GPUs that gamers already own but leave idle for most of the day.

Our deep focus on cloud gaming as our primary vertical is a deliberate, long-term commitment:

  • A massive, exploding market. Cloud gaming is a hyper-growth sector with an insatiable demand for raw compute power closer to the user. We are building this specifically to give gamers the zero-latency experiences they deserve.
  • The ultimate technical crucible. Gaming is the hardest infrastructure problem to solve in modern tech. It demands ultra-low latency, massive continuous bandwidth, and intense real-time GPU processing.

By anchoring our network in the extreme demands of gaming, we are establishing an elite baseline of performance. Once these complex infrastructure difficulties are laid to rest for gamers, expanding into other highly intensive compute avenues — like decentralized AI training and inference — will be entirely plug-and-play. If our network can flawlessly power a AAA game from the edge, it can handle any AI workload on the planet.

the settlement contract: the key missing piece goes live

Think of our network architecture over the last few months as a fully assembled supercomputer: we built the node software, the orchestration layer, the player journey, and the on-chain settlement layer.

With today’s Token Generation Event (TGE), the final critical component — the smart contract that powers network settlement — is deployed and live on-chain. Without an automated, trustless settlement layer, a decentralized compute network cannot reward its operators. Today, that foundation is complete.

core functions of the settlement contract

  • Metered rewards. The contract automatically meters individual node contributions and settles rewards directly on-chain.
  • Deflationary design. It includes a programmatic burn mechanism inherently tied to real-world network usage.
  • Absolute transparency. Every single transaction, reward, and burn is fully transparent and verifiable on-chain.

security & governance framework

Security is our non-negotiable metric. Following rigorous independent audits, we have completely eliminated single-wallet control. All privileged access has been permanently migrated to a timelock contract governed by a secure multisig. No single individual can alter the network, and any proposed changes are subject to a public, transparent delay window.

activating the machine: what happens next

Turning the network on and activating the individual nodes are two distinct operational phases. Now that the infrastructure is officially live, the network will scale up in immediate, transparent stages:

  1. NANO OS image hardening. We are wrapping up the final security validation and hardening on the NANO OS image to ensure bulletproof node security before deployment.
  2. Physical node rollout. A total of 2,000 physical hardware nodes are on order. The first batch of 1,000 is currently en route to our headquarters, with the remaining 1,000 arriving over the subsequent months.
  3. NANO activation. The decentralized NANO nodes will officially come online approximately one month from today.
  4. Payout function release. Once end-to-end network stability is fully confirmed under initial loads, we will toggle the payout function live, allowing node operators to begin earning rewards trustlessly.

the ignition switch has been flipped

Today isn’t our finish line — it’s the ignition. The global infrastructure is live, the foundation is immutable, and the world’s fastest edge network is officially waking up.

About YOM

YOM is pioneering the first cloud gaming infrastructure (DePIN) that streams games, white-label experiences and entirely new entertainment formats at scale to any URL or streaming platform, including Telegram and Discord. Leveraging a distributed network of gaming machines, YOM offers global low-latency, near-zero cost cloud gaming to any device and channel, effectively eliminating the need for dedicated game consoles. The project is backed by a network of advisors and firms such as Outlier Ventures, Avalanche, and Borderless Capital, and is a member of the NVIDIA Inception Program and Google for Startups.
