$YOM delisting from MEXC: an update to our community
$YOM will be delisted from MEXC. Here is what happened, what it means for the YOM network, and where $YOM continues to trade.
Today, we want to provide the YOM community with an important update regarding the $YOM token and its upcoming delisting from MEXC.
While this outcome is disappointing, we believe in full transparency with our community regarding what happened, the factors involved, and where YOM goes from here.
why is YOM being delisted from MEXC?
At its core, YOM did not hit the growth and trading volume thresholds required by MEXC for continued listing.
We invested significantly in expanding our reach on MEXC, including influencer (KOL) campaigns, community events, and targeted marketing. However, listing on an exchange does not automatically generate sustainable demand, and we were ultimately unable to capture sufficient trading traction within MEXC’s specific user base.
One external factor weighed heavily on this outcome. During our listing period, the EU’s MiCA rules for crypto platforms came into full effect, and MEXC began winding down its services in parts of Europe, including the Netherlands. A core part of YOM’s early community and token holders is based in Europe, so many of our earliest supporters could no longer trade $YOM on MEXC and moved to other exchanges.
We share this perspective not to assign blame, but to give our community an honest view of the environment in which this delisting occurred.
We are in communication with MEXC to confirm the statistics that brought them to this decision. However, timelines are not such that we will be able to affect their next actions.
what does this mean for YOM?
This delisting does not impact the YOM network, our technology, or our roadmap.
YOM is built around real-world utility, not exchange dependency. Our focus remains squarely on developing decentralized infrastructure that coordinates distributed computing resources globally.
The $YOM token continues to serve its fundamental purpose in our ecosystem: coordinating network participants, powering node operator incentives, and running the economic mechanisms of our infrastructure.
Real-world adoption of our tech is already underway:
- Walter.gg: a prime example of YOM infrastructure in action. Walter.gg leverages our distributed network to deliver high-performance gaming experiences without requiring users to own expensive hardware.
- Expanding use cases: while cloud gaming demonstrates our immediate capabilities, YOM’s compute infrastructure is built to support a wide range of enterprise and developer applications moving forward.
where can you trade $YOM?
$YOM remains actively traded on multiple platforms, including:
- KuCoin
- Kraken
- Blackhole DEX
important action item for MEXC holders
If you currently hold $YOM on MEXC, we strongly recommend withdrawing or transferring your tokens to an external wallet or another exchange now, to avoid any potential loss of access.
looking ahead
Exchange listings provide liquidity and access, but they do not measure the strength of underlying technology. For YOM, this is simply another step in our long-term evolution.
Our operational priorities remain unchanged:
- Expand and strengthen the global node operator network.
- Drive adoption for applications built on YOM technology like Walter.gg.
- Onboard new developers and enterprise partners requiring decentralized compute.
- Continue refining $YOM token utility and network economics.
to our community
To everyone who traded $YOM on MEXC or introduced new supporters to the project during this chapter: thank you.
Delistings are never easy news to share, but perspective is essential. YOM is far bigger than any single platform. The network is operational, nodes are active, products are being built on our stack, and development moves forward uninterrupted.
MEXC was a chapter in the YOM story, not the destination. We keep building.
