YOM TGE update: here's why we're waiting

We are moving the YOM Token Generation Event (TGE). As the European Union's MiCA framework enters its strict enforcement phase this spring, we must complete mandatory compliance processes before launch.

We are moving the YOM Token Generation Event (TGE). As the European Union’s MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) framework enters its strict enforcement phase this spring (March 2026), centralized exchanges are rapidly tightening their listing requirements. To launch compliantly and protect our community, we must complete a mandatory statutory review process of at least 20 business days and finalize our Digital Token Identifier (DTI) and Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) registrations.

Because navigating this final bureaucratic process will push us past our original TGE window, we are adjusting our launch date. It’s the right call, made after thoroughly reviewing our options, and we want to lead with transparency on how we landed here.

MiCA compliance comes first

While MiCA’s rules have been rolling out over the past year, the transition periods are now ending, and the regulatory environment for new token listings has become extremely strict. In our work to secure tier-one exchange listings, it became clear that the administrative lead time for final compliance approvals were taking longer than anticipated.

That process was initiated in January. However, following required revisions to our submission, the 20-business-day review period has restarted - pushing the timeline past our original TGE window. On top of that, top-tier exchanges now demand a fully approved Whitepaper, DTI and LEI for all new listings. These registrations are in process but must be fully completed before we go live.

While the bureaucratic timeline is frustrating, these structures add vital confidence for institutional investors entering the space, ultimately a massive benefit for the crypto industry and YOM’s long-term growth. Europe makes up 50–60% of the YOM community. If we launch before these specific registrations clear, centralized exchanges would be forced by regulators to geoblock every European holder on day one.

We won’t do that. We launch globally, or we don’t launch.

network status

The YOM token and payout contracts are live on Avalanche C-Chain:

  • Token supply: 750M | ERC-20 (UUPS upgradeable)
  • Mainnet: 0xb6314518b61b4864162c7aE7fdc36261e0A14C4b
  • Testnet (Fuji): 0x8807cD26dB303e5947d992Cd595955cbaC101e8c

The payout function - as outlined in the tokenomics - is currently being tested on testnet.

In parallel, several exchanges and institutional partners have finalized listing and investment proposals - onboarding them properly strengthens our launch conditions for all holders.

what happens next

We will announce the exact TGE date once the MiCA statutory review clears and exchange integrations are finalized. Expect a public update by mid-April.

In the meantime, we’re not going quiet. Expect a steady stream of partnership announcements, integration reveals, and ecosystem updates over the coming weeks. The network is scaling, the deals are closing, and we’ll be sharing every milestone as it lands.

Thank you for your patience. We’ll see you at launch.
